How do I apply an Emergency Bandage ® / Israeli Bandage?
Apply the sterile wound dressing : Place directly over the bleeding site. Secure the first wrap: Wrap the first layer of bandage over the wound, thread it through the bracket of the pressure applicator and then pull the applicator back over the wound site together with the bandage. Apply pressure : The tight pull exerts direct pressure on the wound dressing or the wound itself, thereby stopping the bleeding. The applicator acts as a pressure pad. It also makes bandaging easier, as it securely holds the wound dressing and the first wrap in place. Secure further wraps: The additional wraps that follow protect the wound dressing and the applicator from external influences.
