FAQs on getting started & application process

How can I apply for a job at WERO?

The direct route is to apply via an advert in our job market or a published advertisement. However, we also welcome unsolicited applications and, of course, active interest in our apprenticeships.

What should my application letter look like?

Please describe briefly and precisely why you are the right person (m/f/d) for the advertised position. The following points may help you:

  • What position are you interested in and - if applying for field service - what area are you interested in?
  • How did you hear about us and what interests you about WERO?
  • What qualifications and experience do you have, what characterises you?
  • When could you start with us?
  • What are your salary expectations?
  • What else should we know about you?

What information is relevant in the CV?

The CV contains all the important information about you at a glance:

  • Personal data: Name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, date of birth, etc.
  • Professional activity: career stages (organised by time), areas of work and company
  • Studies: degree programme and specialisations (broken down by time), final grade if applicable
  • Apprenticeship: Training occupation (broken down by time), areas of work and company
  • Internships: Areas of work (organised by time) and company
  • School education: School types (organised by time) and degree with grades
  • Further education: Courses and training programmes
  • Additional information: Stays abroad, social commitment, etc.
  • Special skills: Foreign languages, IT skills, additional qualifications, hobbies and interests

You should provide evidence of the key stages in your CV with certificates/certificates or references (please ensure that the documents are legible).

Can I also send you a paper application by post?

Due to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) , which came into force in 2018, we have had to adapt our processes accordingly, which means that we are unfortunately no longer able to process applications in paper form . We therefore ask you to refrain from submitting applications in this way.

When can I expect a response to my application?

As soon as we receive your application, you will receive confirmation from that your application has been received. As a rule, will then contact you within three to four weeks once we have checked your application. In the case of unsolicited applications, this may take a little longer, as we are happy to consider further employment opportunities in advance.

How is the selection process organised?

If you have impressed us with your application, we will invite you to a personal interview in the next step. Here you will meet your future manager and an employee from the HR department. In addition to the technical and methodological aspects , it is just as important to us that the personal and human factors harmonise with each other. So that you can also check this for yourself, we are happy to invite applicants to a trial working day where they can gain an insight into the area of responsibility and get to know potential team colleagues. If this day is considered positive on both sides - not only do we have to decide in your favour, but you also have to decide in our favour - we will inform you shortly whether we will hire you.

What will the first few months at WERO be like?

We draw up qualified induction plans for all new hires. Based on this plan, the first weeks are organised systematically and workplace-related. You will not only familiarise yourself with your own area of responsibility, but will also spend time in other departments. This is the only way you can learn to understand the processes at WERO .
