Time is critical
When treating serious injuries in the field, time is a critical factor and saving time increases the casualty's chances of survival in an emergency or hostile situation. To be effective in the real world, haemostatic dressings need to work quickly.
Improved chitosan
Celox Rapid contains Chito-R™-activated chitosan granules that adhere to moist tissue in the wound*. Chito-R™ forms a sticky gel that seals the wound to stop blood flow and accelerate compression time. (2)
Tried and tested
- Celox Gauze showed a statistically significant improvement in survival rate (7%), especially in severely injured patients (5)
- Independent comparative tests in the form of a meta-analysis showed a statistically significant improvement in survival with Celox Gauze compared to alternative agents (5)
