"Dr Marx replantation bag S, sterile - finger / hand"
Double-walled bag for optimum storage and safe transport of an amputation
Safe transport and storage of amputates
In order to increase the chances of a successful replantation, it is important to transport the patient with the replant to the appropriate clinic in the best possible way.
The best possible transport of the replant means:
- Protection from mechanical influences
- Protection from temperatures that are too high or too low
- Protection from water or other substances
- Protection from bacterial contamination
The advantages of Dr Marx replant bags at a glance:
- Sophisticated double-wall system: the inner bag is used for dry, germ-free storage of the amputation, the outer bag for storing the coolant
- Smooth, puncture-resistant film - particularly important for bone splinters
- The inner bag is longer than the outer bag - therefore no coolant can reach the amputation
- Sturdy, watertight aluminium sterile packaging - this enables safe storage anywhere
Dr Marx replantation bag - the right one to hand in an emergency!
Instructions for use
1. Wrap the severed body part in sterile dressing material.
2. Open the packaging. Remove and unfold the double-walled bag. The inner and outer bags are firmly connected at the bottom.
3. Place the severed body part in the inner bag and close it tightly by pulling the two red strings.
4. Fill the outer bag up to above the amputation with ice and water or Dr Marx artificial ice in equal parts and close it securely by pulling the two green strings tight. Alternatively, instant cold packs can also be used for cooling.
5. Hang the double-walled bag by the threads (inner and outer bag). Heavily filled, heavy bags should also rest on the bottom and sides.
6. For longer transport distances, fresh ice, Dr Marx artificial ice or instant cold packs must be refilled.
