Reliable emergency bandage for severe bleeding
The original for the fastest first aid in an emergency
The Emergency Bandage™ combines primary care, pressure bandage, secondary treatment and secure fixation in one emergency bandage for severe bleeding. This ensures rapid first aid for traumatic injuries. The sterile emergency bandage is suitable for virtually any injury to the body. Thanks to its design, the emergency bandage is the ideal emergency bandage for injuries to the head, armpit and groin in particular. The easy handling also allows the injured person to apply it themselves.
This is an original product from First Care.
Emergency Bandage™ or Israeli Bandage? Two wordings for one bandage
The Emergency Bandage™, or "emergency bandage for tactical trauma treatment", is often referred to as the "Israeli Bandage". The name "Israeli Bandage" can be traced back to the development of an Israeli paramedic who designed the Emergency Bandage™ at the beginning of the 1990s to meet the requirements of modern operating conditions.
In which areas is an Emergency Bandage used?
- Military
- Disaster relief
- Rescue services and emergency medical services
- First aiders and first aid kits
The advantages of the Emergency Bandage™/ Israeli Bandage
- Fast and efficient initial and secondary treatment of heavily bleeding wounds
- The emergency bandage is suitable for use by both laypersons and paramedics
- Can be applied by the injured person themselves
- Pressure bar replaces separate pressure body and thus saves time
- Absorbent wound dressing, does not stick to the wound
- Safe and controlled unrolling due to sewn-through thread
- Fixation possible without additional aids
- Significant time and cost savings
How do I apply an Emergency Bandage™/ Israeli Bandage?
- Place the sterile, non-adherent dressing of the Emergency Bandage™ on the wound
- Wrap the first layer of bandage over the wound, guide it through the handle of the pressure applicator and then pull it with the bandage back over the wound site.
The tight pull exerts direct pressure on the wound dressing or wound and stops the bleeding. The applicator acts like a pressure pad. It also makes bandaging easier as it holds the wound dressing and the first wrap securely in place. - The subsequent additional wraps protect the wound dressing and the applicator from external influences.
The Emergency Bandage™ as a tourniquet
In many cases, the Emergency Bandage™ enables the injured person to apply a pressure dressing independently. It can also be used as a tourniquet for complete haemostasis in an emergency situation with just one hand. To do this, the bandage wraps must be twisted several times.
How can I recognise a replica?
As with most products that have established themselves on the market, there are also replicas of the Emergency Bandage™. These often have poor quality individual components:
- The plastic breaks more quickly
- The bandage is less elastic
- The adhesion of the adhesive is insufficient
