Youth development

As the main sponsor, we support the youth work of the local football club SV Neuhof. In cooperation with the JFV Taunusstein, the club has built up 15 youth football teams over the past few years through the outstanding voluntary commitment of its members, which are supervised by professionally trained coaches.

Training at WERO

Those who promote young talent have a future. That is why we have been successfully training apprentices since 1989. In this way, we give young people the opportunity to learn a profession that suits them and fulfils them with passion. What is particularly important to us? That we offer our young employees a strong foundation and plenty of room to grow. Every year, new trainees start their careers with us in a wide variety of professional fields:
  • Office management clerks
  • Warehouse logistics specialists
  • Management assistants for system integration

Belonging" is part of it for us

Whether with or without a disability - we want to give everyone the same opportunity to find a professional home at WERO. That's why we write "People with disabilities are welcome here" in every job advert In dialogue and together with the representative body for severely disabled employees, solutions are always found to overcome a handicap and create an appreciative working environment at .

We have also entered into a cooperation with EVIM (Evangelischer Verein für Innere Mission) in Wiesbaden : A group of five mentally impaired people take turns supporting our production team. This is because it is important to both the managers of the non-profit organisation and the people employed there that they not only work in the workshops for the disabled belonging to EVIM , but also work in the company and thus "belong" to it.

Diversity is at home here

Diversity is created when differences are united under a common goal. And for us, this is precisely the key to the successful further development of our company. Diverse experiences, perspectives and different cultural backgrounds give us new creative impetus, enrich our daily interactions and broaden our horizons. Only in this way is it possible for us to break new ground and try out innovative ideas within the company. We learn from each other and thus all contribute to the success of the company. Around 240 people from 11 nations on all continents currently work at WERO with the common goal of providing WERO's customers with the best possible service.

For the sake of the environment

Ein Gorilla im Urwald

Animal and habitat protection

In October 2018, we launched a fundraising campaign for the protection of mountain gorillas and the preservation of their habitat. For every purchase of a plaster pack of Weroplast® PowerTex plasters, we donated 5 cents to Berggorilla und Regenwald Direkthilfe e.V.

New home for bees

With our Aktivin® products, we also rely on the quality and effectiveness of natural products. The hand wash paste Aktivin® ScrubIt Care Natur contains natural abrasives made from olive stone meal, the skin care cream Aktivin® ImkaSoft contains honey and the skin protection cream Aktivin® BeeProtect contains beeswax to protect the skin from moisture loss caused by skin-irritating substances . If we benefit from nature to this extent, we must also give something back. Thanks to the Bioland beekeeping Taunusbiene, six young bee colonies have been living on our company premises since summer 2018.
