Hearing protection is mandatory in many professions, but not all employees are always aware of how important it is and carry out small or even larger jobs without protection for their ears. The damage that even brief exposure to noise can cause is often underestimated.
In Germany, noise-induced hearing loss is one of the most recognised occupational illnesses. In many industries, employers are therefore obliged to provide their employees with suitable hearing protection and to instruct them on the correct use of hearing protection before the first use and then repeatedly as required, but at least once a year.
