Are the costs of customised hearing protection covered as occupational safety?

The costs of customised hearing protection as occupational safety can be covered in many cases. There are two main subsidy options: The German Employers' Liability Insurance Association for the Construction Industry (BG BAU) offers an occupational safety premium for its members. For hearing protection earmoulds, 50% of the purchase costs are reimbursed, up to a maximum of 100 euros per item

What does the functional test of uvex hearing protection earmoulds look like?

Uvex hearing protection earmoulds are subject to a professional functional check, which must generally be carried out before the first use, but at the latest after 6 months. A regular, recurring check at intervals of no more than 3 years is recommended to ensure the protective effect of the earmould.

How do I care for my customised hearing protection?

Contamination of the filter and deposits or blockages in the earmould can reduce the sound quality or attenuation of the earmoulds. It is therefore recommended to clean the inserts after each use. To do this, the filter system must be kept closed and wiped with a cleaning cloth for earmoulds. Sharp cleaning agents or sharp objects should not be used. Professional cleaning may also be necessary.
