Dr Marx replantation bags - Safe transport and storage of amputations

Most amputations are caused by accidents at work or in road accidents. Long periods of absence or even occupational disability are often the consequences. The replantation of a body part is therefore of great importance for both the professional life and the quality of life of the person affected. Fill the outer bag up to above the amputation with ice and water or Dr Marx artificial ice in equal parts and close it securely by pulling the two green strings tight. Alternatively, instant cold packs can also be used for cooling. 5. Hang the double-walled bag by the threads (inner and outer bag). Heavily filled, heavy bags should also rest on the bottom and sides. 6. For longer transport distances, fresh ice, Dr Marx artificial ice or instant cold packs must be refilled.

How to successfully treat the amputation

The severed body part should be packed aseptically and cooled and brought to the hospital with the casualty as quickly as possible. Direct contact between the amputation and the coolant must be avoided at all costs. Dr Marx replant bags are optimised for the requirements of trauma surgery and offer the greatest possible safety:
