Do not use to extinguish fires involving people
Extinguishing fires involving people with fire blankets is no longer recommended, as it harbours additional dangers for burning people. Pressing on the blanket can cause additional burn injuries from flaming or glowing clothing. Extinguishing personal fires with a fire extinguisher is much safer and more effective.
