ScalpelCric is a surgical coniotomy set according to the scalpel technique. The set was developed in accordance with the current recommendations of the DAS (Difficult Airway Society) 2015 Guidelines.
Based on the simple description "stab incision, rotation, bougie, tube" an eFONA (emergency Front Of Neck Access) in a CICO situation (Cannot Intubate - Cannot Oxygenate) can be performed quickly with the ScalpelCric. The set is packed in a special sterile instrument bag in which the components are sorted according to the order in which they are used. This can be important during the critical time of application.
