For immediate rinsing of the eye in the event of chemical contamination and foreign particles Gentle rinsing from 6-jet shower head through ergonomically shaped, easily visible eye support ring for controlled rinsing of the eye How to use 1. Twist and remove the top cap 2. Turn the bottle upside down. Turn the base part in one direction with a strong twisting motion until the liquid comes out of the rinsing head. 3. Place the bottle on the eye with the spray head facing downwards and rinse. If necessary, hold the eye open with your fingers. Why buffered solutions? Buffered rinsing solutions help to neutralise acid or alkali splashes in the eye and normalise the pH value in the eye. These "buffered solutions" are therefore many times more effective than water or purely isotonic solutions. Buffered solutions are also suitable for neutralising rinsing in the event of skin burns. Eye injuries in the workplace Eye injuries happen in all areas of work and every company should be prepared to deal with an eye accident in the workplace. After all, if an employee injures their eye, this can result in serious damage or loss of vision. This applies in particular to workplaces where cleaning agents, hydraulic oils, solvents, acids, alkalis or other aggressive liquids or substances are used. There is also always a risk of eye injuries in work areas where foreign bodies such as swarf, dust or dirt particles are produced. Rapid and copious rinsing dilutes the contaminants and flushes them out. Quick access to an eyewash bottle should therefore be available. Because: In the event of eye injuries, just a few seconds can decide whether vision is impaired or even lost! Caution! In the case of splinter injuries, the eye should not be rinsed but immobilised with a suitable dressing. The injured person should consult an ophthalmologist as soon as possible.

Correct signagen }}The newly revised workplace regulation (ASR) A1.3, which contains the internationally valid safety signs of DIN EN ISO 7010, has been in force since the first quarter of 2013. Until December 2012 and the publication of DIN EN ISO 7010, the main safety signs in Germany were defined by DIN 4844-2, which now only applies as a German supplement to and in conjunction with DIN EN ISO 7010.n }} The new version of ASR A1.3 dated 28 February 2013 replaces ASR A1.3:2007 and includes all the signs of the new DIN EN ISO 7010. The new ASR A1.3:2013 is therefore valid for all workplaces in Germany.n }}If the employer does not apply the amended safety signs, he must carry out a documented risk assessment (§ 5 + 6 of the German Occupational Health and Safety Act) to determine whether the safety signs used can continue to be applied. It must be determined whether the markings used in accordance with the old ASR A1.3 and BGV A8 enable employees to quickly recognise hazards, requirements and prohibitions.n }}Important: Old and new markings should never be used in parallel!
