Voluntary commitment of WERO employees

Taunusstein, November 2023: Doing your bit for others - alongside your job and private commitments. Around 29 million people in Germany do voluntary work for the common good. And they do so in a variety of ways: in sport, culture and education, in the social sector, in environmental projects, neighbourhood help, at a local political level or for fire brigades and aid organisations. The latter in particular have to rely on the commitment of volunteers. We at WERO are particularly pleased that some of our employees are also involved in voluntary work, such as our Medical Devices Consultant Timo Baucke or Product Manager for Occupational Health and Safety Sina Spriestersbach, and would like to say THANK YOU.

"For almost 20 years, I have been volunteering at the German Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW) for the benefit of the general public and am available 24/7 for missions . Fortunately, incidents to the extent that the THW has to go into action are rarer than with the fire brigade, with whom we nevertheless maintain close cooperation. I am therefore very pleased that my employer supports me and my voluntary work and gives me time off for training and operations."
