Surface disinfectant wipes offer a quick and easy way to create a clean and hygienic environment, depending on the spectrum of activity, contact time and area of application.Do surface disinfectant wipes help against bacteria, viruses and fungi?As a general rule, not every disinfectant is effective against every pathogen. "Bactericidal" disinfectants render the majority of bacteria harmless. "Virucidal" disinfectants combat the majority of viruses (such as norovirus infections). Caution: "Limited virucidal" products only cover the more sensitive, enveloped viruses. "Levurocidal" disinfectants are effective against yeasts and moulds. "Tuberculocidal" disinfectants kill tuberculosis bacteria. Aktivin® PuraBakt has a bactericidal, limited virucidal, levurocidal and tuberculocidal effect. For a bactericidal effect incl. MRSA, levurocidal according to the VAH guideline, for example, a contact time of 5 minutes is recommended. For surface disinfection in the food sector (bactericidal, levurocidal according to EN 13697), 1 minute is recommended.Can only alcohol-resistant surfaces be cleaned with surface disinfectant wipes containing alcohol?Surface disinfectant wipes containing alcohol should only be used on alcohol-resistant surfaces. Otherwise, damage could occur on alcohol-sensitive materials. Alcohol-free disinfectant wipes are suitable for this purpose.
