Treating a tick bite after removing the tick with the tick card
After you have successfully removed the tick, you should clean the bite area thoroughly. Use warm water and soap or an antiseptic solution to kill any germs. It is then advisable to treat the area with a disinfectant to prevent infection. Keep a close eye on the bite site over the next few days. If redness, swelling or other unusual symptoms occur, consult a doctor immediately in order to recognise and treat possible infections or diseases such as Lyme disease at an early stage.
