Product information
"WATER-JEL® HA First Responder Compresses, sterile - 20 cm, 45 cm"
Effective cooling with gel technology
Gel compresses for optimum first aid for burns and
scalds. The heat is dissipated from the burn directly into the gel
(heat transfer), which releases the excess heat into the
surrounding air.
The properties at a glance:
- Immediately ready for use - without prior cooling
- Interrupts further heat exposure - no further damage due to "afterburning"
- Transparent gel, clinically developed according to the latest formula
- Does not stick to the wound - no change in wound appearance
- Immediately relieves pain, cools more gently than water
- High-quality, tear-resistant compress material
- Sterile, bacteriostatic
- Hyaluronic acid (HA) supports the skin's own regeneration function
Every second counts for burns!
Thanks to the unique convection process (heat transfer)
, WATER-JEL HA First Responder compresses absorb
temperatures of up to 1100 degrees Celsius in a very short time (human bones char
at approx. 760 degrees). This heat transfer offers gentle
temperature regulation of the wound region.
As the heat at the wound decreases, cooling by
WATER-JEL accelerates. This helps to reduce possible wound necrosis* and
to reduce the depth of a burn.
Hyaluronic acid (HA=Hyaluronic Acid)
Hyaluronic acid is a gel-like, transparent liquid that is produced by the
human body itself. It is an important
component of connective tissue, cartilage and joint fluids. It
adapts the inflammatory reactions in the body
and accelerates wound closure. It also supports the
restoration of skin elasticity. HA binds up to 1,000 times
its own weight in water and thus ensures very effective
hydration of the skin.
