Product information "WERO Trauma Kit"

The number of MANV (mass casualty incident) cases has increased considerably in recent years. Aid organisations have been increasingly preparing for such situations for some time now. The WERO Trauma Kit was designed for such cases. Our Trauma Kit was developed in co-operation with experienced paramedics. Our aim was to create a product that is quickly to hand in an emergency and that can be used to optimise initial treatment of bleeding wounds.

The WERO Trauma Kit for the police, schools, public institutions, airports and railway stations

The areas of application for the WERO Trauma Kit are as varied as the kit itself. Thanks to its compact size, it can be easily stowed away or worn directly on clothing - ideally, the modular bag in which the products are packed is equipped with Velcro strips. They can be used in all sectors and institutions. The WERO Trauma Kit can be used in schools, public institutions and events as well as department stores, airports and railway stations. The trauma kit has been tried and tested for first aid in special emergency situations and comes in a practical transparent bag or modular bag. The transparent bag eliminates the time-consuming search for the right materials and you have everything you need for first aid in an emergency at hand

The WERO Trauma Kit is also an ideal addition to your first aid kit, emergency rucksack or first aid bag.

The original Emergency Bandage® - Olive, 10 cm
Article width: 10 cm | Basic colour: Olive
WERO is the exclusive importer for Germany and AustriaReliable emergency bandage for severe bleedingn }} n }}The original for the fastest first aid in an emergencyn }}The Emergency Bandage™ combines primary care, pressure bandage, secondary treatment and secure fixation in one emergency bandage for severe bleeding. This ensures rapid first aid for traumatic injuries. The sterile emergency bandage is suitable for virtually any injury to the body. Thanks to its design, the emergency bandage is the ideal emergency bandage for injuries to the head, armpit and groin in particular. The easy handling also allows the injured person to apply it themselves. This is an original product from First Care.n }} n }}Emergency Bandage™ or Israeli Bandage? Two wordings for one bandageTheEmergency Bandage™, or "emergency bandage for tactical trauma treatment", is often called the "Israeli Bandage". The name "Israeli Bandage" can be traced back to the development of an Israeli paramedic.  He designed the Emergency Bandage™ at the beginning of the 1990s to meet the requirements of modern operating conditions.n }} n }}In which areas is an Emergency Bandage used?-    Military-    Disaster relief-    Rescue services and emergency medical services-    First responders and first aid kitsn }} n }}The advantages of the Emergency Bandage™/ Israeli BandageFast and efficient initial and secondary treatment of heavily bleeding woundsThe emergency bandage is suitable for use by both laypersons and paramedicsCan be applied by the injured person themselvesPressure bar replaces separate pressure body and thus saves timeAbsorbent wound dressing, does not stick to the woundSafe and controlled unrolling due to sewn-through threadFixation possible without additional aids Significant time and cost savingsn }}n }}How do I apply an Emergency Bandage™/ Israeli Bandage?Place the sterile, non-adherent dressing of the Emergency Bandage™ on the woundWrap the first layer of bandage over the wound, guide it through the handle of the pressure applicator and then pull it with the bandage back over the wound site. The tight pull exerts direct pressure on the wound dressing or wound and stops the bleeding. The applicator acts like a pressure pad. It also makes bandaging easier as it holds the wound dressing and the first wrap securely in place. The subsequent additional wraps protect the wound dressing and the applicator from external influences.n }}n }}The Emergency Bandage™ as a tourniquetTheEmergency Bandage™ enables the injured person to apply a pressure dressing independently in many cases. It can also be used as a tourniquet for complete haemostasis in an emergency situation with just one hand. To do this, the bandage wraps must be twisted several times.n }} n }}How can I recognise a replica? As with most products that have established themselves on the market, there are also replicas of the Emergency Bandage™. These often have poor quality individual components:-    The plastic breaks more quickly-    The bandage is less elastic-    The adhesive bond is inadequate

Combat Application Tourniquet® (CAT®) - Black
Basic colour: Black
WERO is the exclusive importer for Germany and Austria CAT® Tourniquet: Quality that counts - the original! The Combat Application Tourniquet® or simply CAT® is a one-hand tourniquet system for rapid haemostasis in the event of life-threatening bleeding from the extremities. What are the advantages of a CAT® Tourniquet? An individually adjustable strap allows the tourniquet to be applied to most extremitiesA robust, ergonomic toggle facilitates gripping and turning The wind system (strap with toggle) tensions a freely movable inner strap to prevent the flow of arterial blood into the extremity Only one handle is required to secure the toggle under a clamping hook During transport, the CAT® 's Velcro fastener provides additional security How do I use a tourniquet? The CAT® tourniquet is an essential component of tactical casualty care. It is used during major incidents, such as terrorist attacks, and as the first measure in the event of life-threatening haemorrhaging. The use of a tourniquet should be trained, but the following applies: in an absolute emergency and if all other rescue measures, such as a tourniquet, are unsuccessful, anyone can use a tourniquet. The tourniquet can also be applied with one hand in an emergency. 1. Unfold the CAT® so that the strap forms an O-shaped loop. Then apply the CAT® above the haemorrhage in the direction of the torso. To do this, pass the injured limb through the O-shaped loop of the Velcro strap. 2. Tighten the strap so that no more than two fingertips can fit between the tourniquet and the limb. Then firmly connect the Velcro surfaces together. 3. Now turn the gag until the bleeding stops and the pulse can no longer be felt below the wound site. 4. Secure the gag under the clamping hook. Check the bleeding and pulse again - if necessary, increase the pressure by turning the gag further. 5. Now place the end of the strap over the toggle and clamp hook and secure both with the safety Velcro. Then, if possible, make a note of the time of attachment. How can I recognise a fake? There are many copies of this tourniquet. They may not be able to build up the necessary pressure, become loose or tear. Do not jeopardise the life you are trying to save again. Please make sure you get the original from a reliable source. Visually, the differences between genuine and counterfeit tourniquets can be slight and are often difficult to recognise. In some cases, however, the following clues can be used to identify a replica: Red tip outside the USA No or inferior instructions for use: These are often not available in German and do not show the most important data and details of a medical device, such as the manufacturer, EC-REP or importer. Qualitative defects in counterfeits are characterised by the following features, for example:Inferior rods that are bendable and break easily under the required pressure A more extensive winding can make it difficult or even impossible to tighten sufficiently to stop bleeding Incorrect application can have serious consequences, including death. Combat Application Tourniquet® in occupational first aid "According to the ERC, current research indicates that the use of tourniquets can be useful for serious injuries with heavy blood loss. If a company has decided to introduce tourniquet systems into the company first aid programme due to the particular risk situation [in terms of occupational health and safety], the application must be instructed and practised regularly."
