Wound dressing
Quick wound dressing - extremely variable and can be cut to size yourself
There are now countless variations of the quick wound dressing, from classic brown textile plasters to plasters with extra strong adhesion. All variants have one major advantage in common: a quick wound dressing can be cut to size individually, which means the plaster can be easily adapted to any wound.
What is a quick wound dressing?
Quick wound dressings are thin textile strips with an integrated wound dressing and adhesive surfaces. The biggest difference to other types of plasters is that quick dressings can be individually cut to size and thus adapted to the wound to be treated. As with all plasters, the main aim is to protect the wound from dirt and other external influences and thus support wound healing.
How can a quick wound dressing be used?
The most important aim of wound care is to stop bleeding and prevent infection. Deep or already infected wounds should therefore be treated by a doctor as soon as possible. In the case of smaller cuts or abrasions, however, independent treatment with wound disinfectant and a wound plaster is often sufficient.
Quick wound dressings are available in various sizes and pre-cuts, but also by the metre. You can also choose from different materials and qualities in our range.
Quick dressings are ideal for treating small to medium-sized wounds. Before applying the plaster, you should make sure that the wound dressing is larger than the wound itself - this ensures that the wound does not come into contact with the adhesive surfaces. When cutting the plaster to size, it is therefore advisable to be a little more generous.

Our plasters also impress with their high level of comfort, air permeability and robustness as well as their elastic properties. We also attach great importance to the use of skin-friendly materials.
How do I choose the right quick wound dressing?
Ideally, the intended use and requirements for the plasters should be clear when purchasing the right adhesive bandage. Classic textile plasters are ideal for dry areas, for example. Water-repellent and detectable plasters are particularly suitable for more humid work areas or the food processing industry.
Specifically, the following three properties should be taken into account when purchasing or using plasters:
Adhesion/stickiness
Adhesive strength describes the adhesive force of a material. Different degrees of adhesion ensure a longer wearing time and different levels of comfort when removing the plaster. Depending on the working area and the sensitivity of the skin, the adhesive strength can play a decisive role.
Breathability
Air is also needed in the healing process of a wound. It is therefore all the more important that plasters also have good breathability - because this is the only way to create an ideal environment for healing.
Additional properties
Ultimately, however, additional properties can also be a very important factor when choosing the right plaster. For example, water resistance and detectability are essential for some areas of work. How skin-friendly (or hypoallergenic) and elastic the respective product is also often plays a role when choosing the right plaster.
