Products from the area of skin protection & hygiene
Skin protection and hygiene play a particularly important role in hotels and the catering industry. It goes without saying that the premises should look neat, clean and tidy so that guests feel comfortable.
Hygiene is particularly important in the housekeeping, restaurant and kitchen areas. To equip your business quickly and easily with all kinds of hygiene products, you will find products for every situation in our overview: from surface and hand cleaning to disinfectants.
First aid products
The hotel and catering industry must not only be prepared for injuries and accidents to employees. First aid materials must also be available to ensure that guests can be treated in an emergency. While employees are informed about where to store first aid products, the reception desk is often the first point of contact for guests to get help. The employer is obliged to keep the prescribed first aid equipment up-to-date, complete and quickly accessible at all times.
To ensure that first aid materials are immediately recognisable, the equipment must be marked with a white cross on a green background. In addition, guests and employees must be provided with information so that they can act correctly in an emergency. This includes emergency numbers and guidelines on how to administer first aid.
Most accidents occur in the kitchens of hotels and restaurants. Burns or cuts are the most common, and they don't always have to be minor. Having first aid materials to hand is therefore very important in kitchens. However, as food is handled here, detectable plasters and other detectable dressing materials are mandatory. If the foreign bodies do get into the food, they are much easier to detect thanks to their signal blue colour. The blue utensils can also be detected using a metal detector with the aid of an aluminium plate or an integrated aluminium foil.
Products from the occupational safety sector
Personal protective equipment and occupational safety must also be taken into account in the hotel and catering industry. Wearing disposable gloves not only makes sense for hygienic reasons, but also to protect the hands of employees. Here too, there are products that are manufactured for easier detection and are therefore ideal for working with food. Some models of disposable gloves, beard masks and disposable bonnets are therefore often blue.
Even in this industry, employees can come into contact with chemicals, e.g. cleaning agents and disinfectants. Employees must therefore be equipped accordingly in order to protect themselves.
