An update to DIN 13157 and DIN 13169 came into force on 1 November 2021. This affects first aid kits, cabinets and cases that must be kept available in companies, on construction sites, in schools and in day care centres for children, for example, in order to provide professional first aid at the scene of an accident. The contents of DIN 13157 (small first aid kit) and DIN 13169 (large first aid kit) are affected by the update of the DIN, which will be expanded in the future and thus adapted to current medical standards.
Please note
The transition period starts on 01.11.2021 and ends on 30.04.2022. During this time, both the new and the old DIN were valid. Since 1 May 2022, the updated DIN has been considered "state of the art" and should be applied.
